First and foremost, we believe that the Bible is God-breathed and therefore is essential for our relationship with God. We also believe that Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose on the third day, giving all people who believe in him everlasting life with forgiveness for sins.
(John 3:16, John 14:6)
- We believe in Jesus Christ
- Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. (Timothy 1:15)
- "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst." - 1 Timothy 1:15
- Righteousness come from God through faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:22-24)
- "This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all who have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." - Romans 3:22-24
- We have new life in Christ (John 3:16-18)
- "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." - John 3:16-18
- Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. (Timothy 1:15)
- We believe in the Bible
- Inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21)
- "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." - 2 Peter 1:20-21
- Useful for teaching and training (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
- Conduct according to scripture (1 Timothy 4:11-13)
- Command and teach these things. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching." - 1 Timothy 4:11-13
- Inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21)
- We believe in Prayer
- For everyone (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
- I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." - 1 Timothy 2:1-4
- Personal (Matthew 6:5-6)
- "'And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." - Matthew 6:5-6
- Always (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
- "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for God's will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
- For everyone (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
- Conclusion: Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. (John 15:5-8)
- "'I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." - John 15:5-8
